Nerium (Oleander)

Oleander is a medium sized woody shrub to small tree from rocky sites along water courses throughout the Mediterranean eastwards to India and southern China. It makes leathery, dark green, narrow lanceolate leaves and terminal clusters of pink (rarely white or red) flowers. In Central Europe and colder regions preferably grow as a container plant in any rich, well drained soil under frostfree conditions at a minimum of some 5°C in a sunny spot throughout the year.
Sow seeds flat on any rich, well drained soil. Keep pots in a sunny spot at a minimum of some 15°C throughout the year.
All are USDA Climate Zone 8/9.
