Kennedia (Coral Pea)

Coral Peas are mostly perennial climbers or ground covering plants with usually trifoliate leaves and bright colored pea like flowers. They are easy in cultivation and will grow fast in any rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot. A climbing aid is recommendable. Most are fast growing plants which may gain several meters in a single growing season. Keep plants sunny and cooler in winter. Ideal for a cool green house or wintergarden. Keep in full sun in winter with reduced watering and a minimum of some 7°C. All can be cut back in early spring.
Prior to sowing scarify seed (e.g. carefully scratch the seed coat with fine sandpaper) and soak them in luke warm water for some 48h. Sow flat at a minimum of 20°C throughout the year in any rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot. Filing the seed coat a little bit prior to sowing may shorten the germination time.
10 seeds per package.
