Jurinea (Silver Giant Scabiose) & Leuzea (Giant Scabiose)

Silver Giant Scabiose and Giant Scabioses are small genera with most ornamental montane long-lived perennials from Central Europe through Siberia, which are unfortunately rarely seen in cultivation. They have a dense basal leaf rosette and stout upright stems each topped with a single, large flower ball. They are ideal for the rock garden and will thrive in any well drained soil in a full sun.
Sow from autumn to early summer in any rich, well drained soil. Keep pots in a sunny spot outside and transplant seedlings on their fourth pair of leaves.
All are USDA Climate Zone 6.
