Uvularia (Bellwort)

Bellworts is a small genus related to Salomon's Seal, native to North America. They have only slightly creeping rhizomes from which emerge the flower stalks in mid spring. All species grow well in any cool, leafy, slightly moist, yet well drained soil in partial shade.
Sow seeds flat from autumn to early spring in any humus-rich soil. Keep pots in a sheltered and shaded spot outside for winter. Transplant rhizomes after leaves have withered in late summer to early autumn.
All are USDA Climate Zone 6.
