Thymus hyemalis (Winter Thyme)

25 (35)cm, Winter Thyme is a perennial, strongly branching woody species from the region of Murcia (Spain) and bears narrow stems with bluish-green and narrow, aromatic leaves and terminal clusters with small pink flowers. Leaves are traditionally used as a spice for rice dishes and olives in Spain. For any rich, well drained soil in a sunny and protected spot. In colder regions best grown under frostfree conditions in full sun throughout the year and a winter minimum of some 10°C. II-IV.
