Amorphophallus konjac (Konjac Titan Arum)

Amorphophallus konjac (Konjac Titan Arum)
150 (200)cm, Konjac Titan Arum is probably the easiest and one of the showiest species in this genus. It has an impressive dark purple red spathe of 40cm in height. For a sunny or partially shaded spot, in summer this robust species may be even grown in the open ground in the garden in Central Europe if corms are planted rather deep with an extra shelter from winter wetness and freezing through (e.g. thick dry mulch layer). 8cm to 16cm ø tubers are flowering size. USDA climate zone 9. IV-VI.
