120 (140)cm, tall biannual Echium from the Mediterranean region, seeds derive from a population found in the Beka'a valley (Lebanon) at some 1.350m. They make one main and several side stems from a basal leaf rosette. Leaves are lanceolate and prickly, axillary clusters of densely packed white to whitish rose flowers. Grow in a rocky, very well drained soil in a protected, sunny spot outside. VI-VII.
