7 (15)m, Caspian Honeylocust is a rarely cultivated tree with broadly pinnate leaves and showy, long, brownish-grey seed capsules in late summer and autumn. It is native of Western Asia (Iran, Caucasus; Azerbaijan, and the Caspian Sea region). As in all species the stem and branches are covered with long, unusual spines. For any rich, well drained soil in a protected and sunny spot. V-VI.
