Monardella odoratissima (Mountain Coyote Mint)
30 (80)cm, Mountain Coyote Mint is a herbaceous perennial with erect stems with opposite, hairy, lance shaped leaves with a pleasant mint-like odor and flavor. The terminal racemes are densely packed with small rose to bluish-pink flowers. The leaves have antibacterial and antifungal properties and are used in the preparation of teas. Native of mountain meadows and open spots in woods in North America (from California north to Washington and east to Nevada). For any rich, very well drained, preferably slightly rocky or sandy soil in full sun. III-VII.
