70 (180)cm, the only Pericallis endemic to Madeira where it occurs in rich, slightly moist soils from the upper succulent zone to the lower subalpine zone at some 1.600m. A semiperennial with a very ornamental, broad inflorescence of pink to rose-purple flowers above dark green leaves covered with short silvery hairs.
