Lavatera thuringiaca) is a herbaceous perennial with tall, upright annual stems with numerous bright rose, quite large flowers and silvery-grey, serrated, maple-like leaves. It is native of dryish soils in meadows and at the edge of woods in central to south-eastern Europe. For any rich, well drained soil in full sun. VI-VIII.
