Agave inaequidens ssp. inaequidens

150 (300)cm ø, makes a very large, showy solitary rosette of broad, mid green leaves with strong blackish marginal teeth. It is native of dryish shrublands in central Mexico. This very large species is not as winter hardy as others. Thus give some extra insultating protection in winter (e. g. transparent plastic air foil) or grow frostfree in pots at a winter minimum of some 5°C and plants kept absolutely dry.
