Pistacia chinensis (Chinese Pistache)

150 (250)m, Chinese Pistache is a fully winter hardy, woody, deciduous shrub from Eastern Asia. It has aromatic, feathered, leathery foliage and terminal clusters of inconspicuous flowers followed by decorative red berries with a small (non-edible) pistacho nut. In autumn it displays a colorful bright orange-red foliage. Easily cultivated in any rich, well drained soil in a suny and protected spot. USDA climate zone 7/8. V-VII.
