Oenothera tetraptera (Fourwing Evening Primrose)

20 (40)cm, Fourwing Evening Primrose is a night flowering perennial species from southern USA to nothern South America. Oenothera tetraptera produces several large white flowers which stay are open from the late afternoon until around midday the following day. For any well drained, sandy to rocky soil in a protected spot in full sun. An evening primrose which usually grows as an annual in colder climates, where it will readily self-sow under appropriate conditions. Seedlings are fast growing. VI-IX.
