Indigofera tinctoria (Real Indigo)

100 (200)cm, Real Indigo is an semi-evergreen, tropical woody shrub from India, widely grown in the tropics for extracting a blue dye. It makes showy terminal racemes with pink flowers above feathered leaves. For any rich, well drained substrate in a sunny spot throughout the year. This species is not frost resistant. In winter keep plants drier at a minimum of some 15°C. VII-IX.
