Penstemon cyanocaulis produces dense basal leaf rosettes with undulated leaf margins and and several spikes with showy bluish-violet flowers. For any rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot. Excellent in a protected spot in the rock garden. Seeds from a certified wild collection in Montrose County, Colorado, USA, at an altitude of some 1.800 m. IV-VI.
