Clematis pitcheri (Leather Flower)

200 (350)cm, Leather Flower or Bluebill Clematis makes vining perennial stalks with pendulous, campanulate, showy lilac-blue flowers with reflexed petal tips. This Clematis species is native of South-central USA. A perfectly winterhardy species, which is easily grown in any humus rich, well drained soil in a sunny to partially shaded spot. V-VIII.
