Phlomis italica (Balearic Jerusalem Sage)

50 (90)cm, Balearic Jerusalem Sage is a woody, perennial small shrub native of open spots in mountainous regions on Mallorca (Balearic islands). It has ornamental, silvery wooly leaves and upright racemes with whorls of showy rose-lilac flowers. For any rich, well drained soil in a sheltered and sunny spot in the garden. In cold regions give plants some winter protection, e.g. a dry mulch layer. VI-VIII.
