70 (100)cm, Ontario Blazing Star makes upright lax spikes of pale purple flowers above a basal evergreen rosette of narrow leaves. Native of moist and rich soils in meadows and prairies in northern and Central USA. Easily cultivated in any rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot. VII-IX.
