Rosa pulverulenta (Pine Fragrant Rose)

70 (120)cm, Pine Fragrant Rose is a rarely cultivated medium sized species with viscid, pine fragrant (!) leaves on upright growing stems and showy bright rose flowers. Native of open spots in woods from the eastern Mediterranean through Middle East. Seeds from a wild collection in the cedar forest of Al Ars, Lebanon, at some 1000 m. Easily grown in any rich, well drained soil in a sunny to partially shaded spot. Fully winterhardy in central Europe. V-VI.
