120cm, a perennial with a basal leaf rosette and a tall and showy, terminally branching inflorescence with numerous lavender blue flowers with a yellow center. Native of high altutudes in southern Brazil. Fully winter hardy in Central Europe and easily cultivated in any rich, well drained soil in a sunny and protected spot. V-VII.
