Iochroma australe (Southern Violet Shrub)

200 (400)cm, Southern Violet Shrub is native of woods in Argentina. Iochroma australe has pastel shaded, bluish violet tubular flower bells, which are followed by yellowish green berries. In time it will become a tall open shrub, which can be pruned in spring. An ideal container plant for any humus rich soil in a sunny spot. In winter keep cooler, yet frostfree, in full sun and with reduced watering. VI-IX.
