150 (300)cm, Tall Leadplant is a quite tall perennial, woody shrub with broadly feathered leaves. Makes long, terminal dense spikes of numerous orange-purple flowers. Native of open, dry spots in prairie regions in the US. For any rich, well drained, preferably rocky soil in full sun. VI-VIII.
