Gentiana quinquefolia (Stiff Gentian)

15 (40)cm, Stiff Gentian or Agueweed has pale blue to lilac blue narrow flowers on upright stalks. This perennial is native of moist soils in mountain slopes and fields of W Minnesota to E Maine, southward to Georgia and Arkansas (USA). For any humus rich, well drained soil, in a sunny to partially shaded spot. VIII-X.
