40 (70)cm, Bottle Gentian is a perennial, autumn flowering Gentian with numerous bright blue flowers on tall, upright and not branching stems. Native of E North Dakota, Saskatchewan to Quebec (Canada), southward to Georgia and Arkansas (USA) growing in prairies and open spots in woods. For any humus rich, well drained soil, in a sunny to partially shaded spot. IX-X.
