Plantago raoulii (New Zealand Plantain)

12cm, New Zealand Plantain is a perennial dwarf plantain from high mountain meadows in New Zealand and winter hardy in Central Europe. Makes a basal rosette of brownish-violet leaves and several short flower stalks. For any rich, very well drained soil in a sunny and protected spot. Excellent in the rock garden. VI-VIII.
