Oxytropis nana (Wyoming Locoweed)

20cm, Wyoming Locoweed is an Oxytropis species endemic to Wyoming, USA. It forms a dense cushion of small feathered, greyish-green, hairy leaves and showy bright purplish-pink flowers on rather long stalks. For any rich, well drained and rather rocky soil in a protected spot in full sun. An excellent plant for the rock garden. In wetter areas preferably grow under cold glass with protection from excessive winter wetness. Seeds from a certified wild collection in Carbon County, Wyoming, USA, at some 1.950m. VI-VIII.
