Sibthorpia peregrina (Madeira Moneywort)

20 (50)cm, Madeira Moneywort is a perennial prostrate plant within the plantain family (Plantaginaceae). It forms dense mats of finely pubescent leaves and yellow miniature flowers. This species is native of semi-moist rock crevices and vertical rock walls on the island Madeira (Portugal). For any rich, well drained soil in a sunny (winter) to partially shaded (summer) spot. Keep plants drier in winter at a minimum of some 5°C. V-VI.
