80 (110)cm, a medium-large and showy Aechmea species which is endemic to the Tijuca National Park in the federal state of Rio de Janeria, Brazil. It makes mid green, serrated leaves and an upright hold (later arching) inflorescence with small dark blue flowers and short rosy bracts. Easily grown in pots in any rich, well drained substrate at a minimum of some 20°C throughout the year. II-III. |
