Dunalia spinosa has mid green, slightly glossy, obovate to elliptic leaves and numerous showy pendulous ink-blue narrow trumpet-shaped flowers followed by small bright orange fruits. For any rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot throughout the year. In winter keep plants slightly drier at a minimum of some 15°C. Seeds are extremely scarce and hard to obtain from the fruits.
