Hibiscus brackenridgei ssp. brackenridgei (Yellow Hawaiian Hibiscus)

180 (240)cm, Yellow Hawaiian Hibiscus is a rare evergreen wild species from the Hawaiian archipelago with fresh green, broadly lobed leaves and ornamental, rather large, bright yellow flowers with a small reddish center. Easily grown in any rich, well drained substrate in full sun throughout the year and reduced watering in winter at a minimum of 20°C. Germination in Hibiscus brackenridgei is erradic over several months and sowings will require sufficient heat between 25°C and 30°C. VI-X.
