70 (90)cm, a semi-perennial, rather rare subspecies with creamy white (sometimes pale pink where populations of ssp. heywoodii overlap with Digitalis purpurea) flowers and yellow throats and usually purple spots inside above silvery-grayish haired leaves. It is native to southern Portugal where it grows on granite rocks in full sun. For any rich, very well drained, preferably rocky soil in a partially shaded to sunny spot. VI-VII. |
