Dianthus squarrosus (Ukrainian Pink)

12 (20)cm, Ukrainian Pink makes dense, fresh bluish green cushions with several stalks with fragrant, pure white (rarely pale pink), and strongly fringed flowers. Native of mountainous meadows in south-western Russia, the Ukraine and the Tatra Mountain Range. Easily grown in any rich, very well drained spot in full sun. V-VI.
