20 (30)cm, makes showy drooping violet to brownish violet flower bells before the strongly dissected hairy leaves emerge in early spring. Native of montane or subalpine meadows in the Caucasus (Georgia). For any rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot. Excellent in the rock garden IV-V.
