Thymus serpyllum (Wild Elfin Thyme)

5 (10)cm, Wild Elfin Thyme is native of sandy soils in central and southern Europe and is a very floriferous ground covering species with numerous bright rose flowers. The leaves have an unique spicy, slightly licorice-like fragrance and flavor. Easily cultivated in any well drained, preferably rocky or sandy soil in full sun. Excellent in the rock garden. VI-VII.
