20 (35)cm, is a perennial species with a dense terminal clusters of snow white flowers on arching stems with broadly lanceolate leaves. Native of subalpine meadows in Western China. Easily cultivated in any rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot. Excellent in the rock garden. VIII-IX.
