Flannel Bush is a half winter hardy perennial woody shrub from southwestern USA with utomst beautiful, rich orange yellow star like flowers above silvery green leaves in summer. For any rich, well drained soil in a protected spot in full sun outside in the garden. In colder regions either give a good winter protection (e.g. wrap plants in an air-cushion proteced plastic foil) or grow as a container plant at a winter minimum of some 5°C and reduced watering. Sow seeds flat in any well drained, sandy soil. Keep pots in a sunny and protected spot outside. Carefully transplant seedlings to the final spot in he garden as soon as they are strong enough. All are USDA Climate Zone 8/9. 10 seeds per package. |
