Salvia flava var. megalantha (Bicolored Chinese Sage)

In the garden trade it is hopelessly confused with Salvia bulleyana, which is a different species with pale blue-violet flowers. We offer this utmost showy species under its correct name! It makes oval, hairy, bright green leaves and branching stalks with pale yellow upper petals and a contrasting violet lower lip. For any rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot. VI-VIII.
