Reichardia are annual to semi-woody perennial plants from sunny, rocky spots in the Mediterranean and Macaronesian region. Species from the Canary islands are perennial and make short woody stems crowned by a dense rosette of bluish-green, strongly serrated leaves and an upright to slightly nodding inflorescence with bright yellow flowers. For any rich, very well drained soil in full sun throughout the year. In winter keep plants drier at a minimum of some 10°C. Sow seeds flat on any rich, rocky soil in a sunny spot at some 20°C throughout the year. 20 seeds per package. |
