Merremia (Hardy Woody Morning Glory)

Hardy Woody Morning Glories have trumpet-like flowers above decoratively dissected leaves similar to those of real Morning Glories (Ipomoea spp.), but unlike Ipomoea most species within the genus Merremia are perennials from the Northern hemisphere and have a woody base and somewhat woody stems. Easily cultivated in any rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot. Plants require a climbing aid.
Soak seeds some 24h in warm water before planting. Use any rich, well drained soil and keep pots sunny at a minimum of some 20°C. Germination is over a longer period and may take up to one month.
All are USDA Climate Zone 6.
7 seeds per package.
