Twin Leaf is a small and rare genus of two to three species from East Asia and North America from moist woods where they grow in a leafy soil in partial shade. Both species have bilobed leaves and white respectively pale lavender-blue flowers.
Sow in any humus rich, well drained soil in pots in partial shade from autumn to early spring. Seeds require a cooling period for several months before they will germinate by the end of spring. Transplant rhizome after leaves withered in late summer. Keep seeds frostfree in a refrigerator until point of sowing in order to maintain a high viability.
