Rock Flowers within the genera Talinum and Phemeranthus are dwarf perennials from dryish, rocky to sandy sites from southern North America to South America. Species offered here have semi-succulent, linear leaves and filigree stalks crowned by white, rose to rich pink flowers. For any rich, very well drained soil in full sun. Excellent rock garden plants. Sow fine seeds flat on any rich, sandy, well drained soil. Do not cover seeds with soil and keep pots outside in a protected and sunny spot. Carefully transplant young plants to the final spot in the garden as soon as they are strong enough. All are USDA Climate Zone 6. 20 seeds per package. |
