In summer plants are decorated with bright colored berries in white, orange, or red. All are easily grown in any humus rich, well-drained soil in a partially shaded spot. Sow seeds flat on any humus rich, well drained soil. Keep pots in a partially shaded, protected spot outside. Transplant the dormant rhizomes to the garden after withering of leaves in autumn.
