Fenugreek has been used for several thousand years for ist seeds (called Methi) and edible leaves. The former are light yellowish-brown and have a pleasant nutlike, slightly bitter taste and are usually roasted and ground for preparing pickles and curries in India, Turkey and the Arabian region. Plants are grown as annuals in any rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot. Sow seeds flat directly in any well drained, humus-rich soil in a sunny site in the garden in spring. Cover seeds only slightly with soil. 50 seeds per package. |
