Foxgloves, biennials to perennials or woody sub shrubs which make a basal leaf rosette in the first year after sowing and from which the flowering stalk with bell-shaped flowers will emerge in the second year. For partially shaded spots in any humus rich, well drained soil. Sow the fine seeds from autumn to early summer on any well drained soil containing some humus in a partially shaded and protected spot outside. Do not cover these dustlike seeds with soil. Seeds will evenly germinate within 2 to 4 weeks at some 15°C in either autumn or spring. Do not expose pots to temperatures higher than 25°C, for this will impede germination and/or germination may take longer! Carefully transplant as soon as seedlings are strong enough. Note: All parts are poisonous if ingested ! All are USDA Climate Zone 6. 50 seeds per package. |
