Eastern False Rue Anemone belongs to a small genus of herbaceous tuberous woodland plants from eastern North America. They makes upright hold stalks with several white, anemone-like flowers above dark green, 3-lobed leaflets. Easily grown in any humus rich, well drained, slightly moist soil in a partially shaded spot. Sow seeds flat on any humus rich, well drained soil. Only slightly cover seeds and keep soil always moist from beneath. Place pots outside in a protected spot. As for most winter hardy perennials, seeds require a cooling period for several months before they germinate in late spring to early summer. Carefully transplant dormant rootstock to the garden from late summer to mid autumn. All are USDA Climate Zone 6. 20 seeds per package. |
