Arenaria (Sandwort)

Sandworts is a small genus from Eurasia. Several species make make dense, floriferous carpets in white to rose shades and are ideal for the rockery garden. For any rich, well drained, rather rocky soil in full sun.
Sow fine seeds flat on top of any well drained soil. Keep pots in a protected spot outside in full sun during winter. As with most hardy perennials, germination occurs with rising temperatures in late spring the following year. Transplant as soon as seedlings are strong enough in late spring to early summer.
All are USDA Climate Zone 6.
