Jetberry Bush is a monotypic genus with a single deciduous species from eastern Asia (China). It makes medium tall, woody arching stems with fresh green, serrated leaves and ornamental snow white flowers followed by open capsules with 1 to 4 glossy brownish-black seeds. Easily grown in any humus rich, well drained soil in a sunny to partially shaded spot. Sow seeds in any rich, well drained soil and keep pots outside in a protected spot. Seeds require a prolonged cooling period prior to germination in late spring. Carefully transplant young plants to the final spot in the garden in autumn or spring. All are USDA Climate Zone 6. 10 seeds per package. |
