They are excellent for a sunny, protected and rather dry spot in the rock garden, where they will develop several blue, violet, yellow to rarely red flowers in each inflorescence. All are easily cultivated in any rich, well drained soil and they will increase well by offset bulbs under appropriate conditions. Sow spring in any sandy soil in full sun.
