Houttuynia cordata (Chamaleon Plant)

30 (50)cm, Chamaleon Plant is a herbaceous perennial from boggy areas in China and Japan. It makes upright branching stalks with cordate leaves and numerous white flowers. Crushed parts of this plant have a distinct odor comparable to some newt species. Easily grown in any humus rich, moist soil in a sunny to partially shaded spot. Excellent for the border of a pond.
